Managing Member Dianne Shumway

As a Managing Member of Move Forward Capital, I am excited to specialize in divorce coaching and retirement. While most people don't enter marriage and family life expecting it to be finite, sometimes it is. My passion lies in helping individuals embrace new beginnings and plan for a future filled with hope. Armed with the right financial information, navigating changes becomes more manageable, and strategic planning can pave the way for families to move forward with strength.

In my professional career, I am passionate about learning. At The Walt Disney Company, I embraced the attention to detail and continuous pursuit of excellence. I capitalized on all the education the company offered- whether it was specific to my department in print, embracing the corporate culture by attending the week-long Disney Way One professional program, or taking advantage of our employee reimbursement benefit to obtain my Pepperdine University MBA. After Disney, I took a sales position and was able to prosper not due to my sales talent but because of my knowledge in my specific industry.

I knew I was partnering with the right broker-dealer sharing their core values of integrity, commitment, flexibility, and kindness. I love technology and am devoted to finding new ways to streamline processes and save time. I hold my Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and am a Certified Retirement Counselor®.

I was raised in Phoenix, Arizona as the youngest of six children. I enjoyed playing sports at Cortez High School and went on to play volleyball as a scholarship athlete at Scottsdale Community College (NJCAA National Champions) and Virginia Tech. Go Artichokes and Hokies!

We currently live in Palos Verdes, California. When I am not listening to my client’s stories and ideas, you can find me running, spending time with my family, watching their sporting events, or playing with our dog, Cooper, and cat, Shaggy. I volunteer with Parents Against Vaping (PAVe) and Palos Verdes High School Advisory Committee.
